About Us
Who We Are?
Dream Stuff Studios was born from 20 + years in tree surgery in North London (Tree Work Solutions Ltd) — a life spent among trees, their beauty, their strength, and their decline.
On jobs, I often came across extraordinary pieces of timber — rich in grain, form, and character — destined for the fireplace. It felt like a quiet injustice. So I began keeping a few. One became a table. Then another. Before long, a small collection had taken shape — each piece a quiet rebellion against waste, and a tribute to the trees themselves.
What began as salvage turned into sculpture. And from that same instinct came the bathtubs — vessels of water and calm, handcrafted to honour the material and invite a deeper stillness into the spaces we live in.
Our Studio
In our studio, timber is reimagined — shaped into sculptural bathtubs and one-of-a-kind tables that bring warmth, presence, and story into a space. Each piece is crafted with care, honouring the natural character of the wood and the quiet beauty of functional design.
Where it all began
Back in my school days, while visiting a friend, I was in awe to discover that every wooden surface in their home was carved with the most incredible characters, scenes, ornaments — even playful doodles. It left a lasting impression: that someone could see such motion and emotion in a simple, planed piece of wood. It also sparked a deep respect for the artistry, though it would take many years before I dared to step into that world myself.
For over two decades, I made trees smaller — or killed them by removing them entirely. Living in a dense urban environment like London, this kind of work is often necessary. But it always hurt to see the waste. Most tree surgeons in North London simply send all cuttings to be mulched into compost, releasing methane into the atmosphere — a greenhouse gas far more harmful than CO₂.
At one point, we tried to start a project that would redirect this waste into biomass energy and usable timber for carpentry. But we were defrauded by Homebase, which shattered our honest chance to launch an eco-friendly, environmentally sound initiative that could have truly benefited local communities.
What you see here today is the result of years of reflection, craft, and quiet determination. Each bathtub and table I make is born from a deep respect for nature and a desire to create something meaningful — something that invites stillness, beauty, and connection. These pieces are more than functional objects; they are invitations to slow down, to feel, and to rediscover the extraordinary within the ordinary. I hope they touch the lives of many, each in their own way.
