A beautiful crosscut of a large Yew Tree that rests on a hexagonal frame nested with roses really is an eye catcher.
Thick slab has amazing detail and was complemented with vibrant shades of epoxy filled crevices. The base was made in
hexagonal shape to restrain the wild shape of the slab and give it a bit more stable geometric reference. Roses, crafted
by a young Ukrainian blacksmith, beautifully complement the piece and give it a lovely uplifting feel. This piece of
Yew Tree was found at a tree surgery waste processing center where it would either be split into firewood or would be
crushed and mulched into compost.
